Coronavirus’s spread means you may be asked to isolate. But what happens if you don’t?

from the title: This story seems mainly talk about the consequence of not isolating. However, at the beginning of the news, it use too much words to explain coronavirus, and it is not related to “but was happens if you don’t?”

Besides, the title is too long and make people confuse, and I think it is a little bit weird about the first part “coronavirus’s spread means you may be asked to isolate”. It doesn’t seems like a title.

To improve title: Coronavirus: What will  happen if you refuse to isolate?

Content:the content is too long, and hardly get the point. It is not exactly relevant to the title. I think the content order need to change, firstly it should report the Tasmanian man to attract people’s attention, rather than set it in the second part.

Hyperlink: some of the position of hyperlinks is also confused, such as “after he was told to isolate”

  1. You’ve suggested a much more concise headline. The ABC News article has an SEO friendly headline, designed to anticipate people’s google searches, but it is too long.
I agree that the link phrases could have been better chosen to include key search terms. What phrases would you have linked instead?
Don’t use assignment 1 in the headline as you already have the post categorised assignment 1.
Your image is missing, entering an alt tag would have helped replace it.
Your link phrase could have been regular size font as it looks like another headline.
Links should open in new tabs.
Attribute the link – where will it take us? Instead write: The ABC News Online story The spread of coronavirus means you may be asked to isolate. But what happens if you don’t?
The information about the Tasmanian man is ‘old news’ from Monday, so by Wednesday you wouldn’t open a story with that detail.
