Objects that mean a lot to me

Mom let me buy these 4 years back so that I could focus on my studies while my grandparents' quarrelled in the background. I don't live with my grandparents anymore, but these remain one of my most prized item. Great for listening to my favorite radio program while hanging in the noisy CBD.

Just before leaving Perth for Sydney, my friend gave me these two items as a farewell gift. She remembered me really saying I liked the tea at her place, and that I liked the scent a mutual friend often used. I only vaguely remember making such remarks in passing. That she remembered my comments so clearly and bought these expensive gifts for me really touched me - it is a sign of how much she valued our friendship.

When a fellow linguistics geek took a short trip back to Korea, he bought me this token of appreciation for the interesting discussions I've initiated with him on the intricacies of the Korean language. And he chose "The Little Prince". I guess it's his way of encouraging me to continue thinking out of the box!

I participate actively in my favorite radio program, leaving comments and participating in the live chat on a daily basis. This limited-edition souvenir they posted to me is so beautiful!
